WEST HAVEN, Conn.- University of New Haven men's basketball alum Joshua Guddemi (Nottingham, England/Derby) has signed a professional basketball contract with Baskets-Vilsbiburg in Germany.
 
Guddemi's new team finished in third place last year in the highly competitive South-East Regionalliga Standings with a record of 19-7.  Baskets-Vilsbiburg will tip off the 2016-17 season on September 24 and play a 26-game regular season schedule. Located an hour northeast of Munich, Vilsbiburg is not far from Germany's border with Austria and the Czech Republic. A native of Nottingham, England, Guddemi averaged 6.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in his senior campaign. Overall, he finished 10 games scoring in double figures including a career-high 16 points in the regular season finale against Le Moyne.
