A career .400 hitter, Gelardi became the first All-American in New Haven softball program history in 2013. Gelardi began her career at New Haven with an NE-10 Rookie of the Year win. Throughout her 165 games, Gerardi walked 87 times while striking out only 60. Gerardi ranks third all-time in New Haven softball history in hitting (.400), second in slugging (.596), and first in on-base percentage (.515). Her career OPS of 1.111 is also among the highest in program history. Gelardi and the Chargers reached the NCAA Tournament in 2010, 2011, and 2013.
