Joe Pacheco ranks third all-time in rebounding at New Haven with 1,214 boards, an averaging of 16.3 per game. The 6-4 forward from Long Island City was a key member of two teams that qualified for the NAIA National Tournament.

One of Pacheco’s most memorable performances came on Jan. 26, 1970 against Cheyney State, when he posted 17 points and 26 rebounds while matched up with 7-1 future New York Knicks’ draft pick Greg Fillmore.
