A member of the New Haven men’s basketball team in its infancy from 1962-66, John Raslavsky III is still one of the top-10 rebounders in program history with 847 career boards, eighth most all-time.

He averaged a double-double in his senior season with 13 rebounds and 15.1 boards per game as the Chargers won NAIA District 32 and advanced to the squad’s first-ever national postseason, finishing with a 29-2 record.

In total, UNH went 92-12 during his four-year career and claimed three conference championships. Raslavsky scored 715 points in 83 career games at UNH.

Raslavsky also spent time on the diamond for head coach Frank "Porky" Vieira during the 1964 and 1965 seasons. During his two seasons with the baseball team, the Chargers finsihed with a 49-8-1 record and advanced to the NAIA District 32 Championships both years.

During the 1965 season, Raslavsky made 11 appearances on the mound, all in a relief role, pitching 39 innings and finishing with a 3.25 earned run average. He also registered eight at bats, hitting successfully in two, while driving in a run and drawing three walks.

Prior to New Haven, Raslavsky was a standout at Stratford High School.
