An AFCA and Daktronics All-America honoree in 1997, Mario DiDino paved the way for some of the greatest offense players in New Haven football history.
The offensive lineman blocked for three Harlon Hill Trophy finalists – Roger Graham (1994), Jesse Showerda (1996) and Cazzie Kosciolek (1997) – as the Chargers racked up a 36-9-1 record during his career.
DiDino was on the line for New Haven’s run to the National Championship Game in his All-America season of 1997, a season in which the Chargers’ offense led Division II with 43.3 points per game. In total, the Chargers amassed over 15,000 yards of offense during his four-year career.
