Rick Racioppi averaged 9.5 tackles per game during his career en route to 379 total stops, which remains second most in school history. 

The linebacker is the only Charger in school history to record 100-plus tackles in three seasons, including a career-high 123 in 1982. That total remained the single season school record until 1986. 1986. 

During his career, Racioppi appeared in all 40 games and was one of three Chargers named All-New England in 1983. He set a career-high with 20 tackles in a game against Springfield and also compiled four career sacks from the middle of the UNH defense.

In addition to his career tackle numbers, Racioppi remains the UNH single-season and career record holder for fumble recoveries with nine total for his career, including a school record six during his senior season.
