A versatile student-athlete, Terri Stahl-Sells wore the Blue and Gold with pride for four seasons on the basketball and tennis courts and the softball field. As a senior, when she captained both the basketball and softball teams.

Among her career highlights, Stahl-Sells started 30 games on the hardwood helping the Chargers to the 1987 National Title. During that magical 1986-87 basketball season, Terri raised her level of play to finish the season averaging 9.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. She opened the Chargers’ national title run by leading the team with 20 points in the New England Regional Championship win over Stonehill.

In the national semifinal overtime victory over Northern Kentucky, Stahl-Sells netted seven points and grabbed eight rebounds and added one blocked shot and a steal. Two nights later in the national championship game versus Cal Poly Pomona, Terri reached double figures with 12 points and had seven rebounds and two steals as UNH finished the season at 29-2, capturing the NCAA Division II crown with a two-point triumph.

Along with her basketball prowess, she was one of the anchors of the softball pitching staff from 1984-1987, earning All-Conference honors as a junior. Stahl-Sells figures prominently in the school’s pitching record book, as she is eighth in career wins with 37 and seventh in career earned run average at 1.83.

er UNH career culminated with her selection as the University’s Female Athlete of the Year in 1987. After wrapping up her playing career, she served her alma mater as an assistant basketball coach for two seasons from 1988-1990.
