WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven's football team was presented the 2011 Northeast-10 Conference Championship trophy on Saturday, February 4 at the Chargers basketball doubleheader. The Chargers finished their second-straight NE-10 Championship season with an 11-2 overall record, and an 8-0 mark in conference play.
Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner Julie Ruppert was on hand to present the trophy to the captains and head coach. Ten student-athletes were also recognized for earning All-Conference First-Team accolades during halftime of the men's basketball game. Additionally, New Haven's head coach, Peter Rossomando, was named Coach of the Year by the conference's head coaches and was recognized on Saturday.
