Resnick, Lieberman to Play in IWLCA North-South Senior All-Star Game

WEST HAVEN, Conn. - Two members of the University of New Haven women's lacrosse team have been invited to play in the 2013 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) North-South Senior All-Star Game. Representing the Chargers on the north squad will be recent graduates Rachel Resnick (Ocean, N.J./Ocean Township) and Natalie Lieberman (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor).

The 2013 NCAA Division II North-South game will take place at Cabrini College in Philadelphia, Pa. on Sunday May 26, 2013. The event will precede the IWLCA All-American banquet, which will take place at the Radisson Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa., later that evening.

Lieberman was previously named to the IWLCA All-America Second Team and the All-North Region First Team along with a First Team All-NE-10 selection. She currently ranked second in the Northeast-10 Conference with 87 points comprised of a team-high 64 goals as well as 23 assists. Lieberman has also recorded 54 draw controls and 21 ground balls while starting all 19 games. She finished with seven goals and two assists for a career-high nine points against American International on April 23.

Also an IWLCA All-America Second Team selection, Resnick was named the Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year this season. She was a First Team All-NE-10 and First Team All-Region honoree, while starting all 19 games for a defense that owned a 10.21 goals-against average. She picked up 33 ground balls and caused 19 turnovers while also contributing to the transition game with six draw controls.
