2013 is the second season for Ernie Ricco on the University of New Haven football staff. Ricco assists on the Chargers' outside linebackers.
Prior to joining the UNH staff, Ricco most recently spent three years at Western Connecticut State University where he coached all three phases of the game as a running backs, secondary and special teams coach. He is a member of the AFCA Coach of the Year Committee.
Before entering the collegiate ranks nearly 20 years ago, Ricco successfully coached at various levels as a position coach for receivers, quarterbacks, defensive backs, as an offensive and defensive coordinator and as a head coach.
A graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, Ricco currently resides in Wilton, Conn. He is married with six children.
