Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium
Newly renovated with state-of-the-art blue and gold Sprinturf, Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium hosted its’ first football game on Saturday, September 19, 2009. Sporting a large Charger logo in the center, the renovation was made possible by a gift from alumnus Ralph F. DellaCamera Jr., managing member and CIO of DellaCamera Capital Management LLC in Manhattan and a member of the university’s board of governors.

On Saturday, September 26, 2009, the stadium was officially dedicated in Ralph F. DellaCamera’s name. In front of a sell-out crowd, over 4,500 fans also saw the first victory at the new stadium as the Chargers pulled off a 23-18 win over Stonehill College.
After receiving turf improvements in 2008, a new press box and a cutting edge scoreboard were installed to improve upon the game environment at Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium prior to the 2009 opener. Prior to the 2010 season, a one-of-a-kind video board was also installed at DellaCamera Stadium.
Prior to the renovations in 2008 and 2009, the stadium was known as Robert B. Dodds Stadium. Dodds Stadium was a natural grass surface and was home to the Charger Football program up until 2003. Dodds Stadium was also the longtime home of the New Haven men’s and women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse programs until the fall of 2007. As the former home for the Charger Football team, Dodds Stadium saw a number of important games throughout its history.
DellaCamera Stadium is located on the University of New Haven's North Campus, directly across Boston Post Road from New Haven's main campus. Parking for events at DellaCamera Stadium is available in the Charger Gymnasium lot.
