Frank Vieira Field

The Home of Charger Baseball, Frank Vieira Field is named after the programs first coach - and program founder. Located at the North Campus Athletic Complex, Vieira Field provides plenty of seating for fans along first base, as well as team dugouts, bullpens, and press box facilities behind home plate. The field is located between Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium and the University’s softball field. The residential neighborhood venue provides a comfortable setting for families to enjoy the highly successful New Haven program, and the field is a convenient walking distance to the main campus.

Prior to the 2013 season, Vieira Field saw the construction of new sunken concrete dugouts with double-tier benches to better accommodate both home and visiting teams. The project was made possible by the generous donations of numerous alumni and friends of the program.

NOTE - No pets or alcoholic beverages are allowed at Vieira Field or any other facility on the University's North Campus.
