Located on the University’s North Campus, adjacent to the Jeffery P. Hazell Athletic Center, the Peterson Performance Center opened in Summer 2023. This state-of-the-art facility has been a gamechanger for student-athletes, coaches, and staff. The new facility offers a 7,000 square foot world-class weightroom filled with top-of-the-line equipment that allows student-athletes to train at levels not previously possible. The weightroom features a total of 20 Olympic style weightlifting racks that can be configured for 100’s of different weight training exercises.
In addition, the weightroom features a 60-yard turf agility and conditioning area. The Peterson Performance Center is also home to a 1,500 square foot sport medicine center and a 2,500 square foot football locker room that can support more than 125 student-athletes.
Additionally, the Peterson Performance Center is home to the David ’91 & Penny ’91 Loane Nutrition Station and with the addition of a registered dietician to the staff student-athletes can now take nutrition into their own hands with the support of professionals to guide the way with meal plans and education on proper nutrition and hydration.
