Wednesday Hoops Doubleheader Part of 2011 PackCast - Watch Live!

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - The third installment of the Northeast-10 Conference's PackCast heads to West Haven, Conn. as the University of New Haven plays host to Saint Michael's College in a basketball doubleheader at Charger Gymnasium on Wednesday, January 19. The men's game tips-off at 5:30 p.m., with the women's game scheduled to follow.

Both games can be seen for free by going to www.Northeast10.tv.

The women's game features one of the hottest teams in the conference as Saint Michael's has won three straight, including their biggest win of the year, a 79-72 overtime win over NE-10 power Pace University. The Purple Knights have won three straight to improve their record to 7-6, 5-5 NE-10.

Saint Michael's is led by senior captain Logan Pintka, who is currently averaging a team-best 14 points per game, tenth best in the conference. The Purple Knights lead the league in free throw percentage, as they are shooting 77% as a unit from the charity stripe.

New Haven, meanwhile, will look to pull off the minor upset on their home court. The Chargers have struggled at home this season, dropping all six of their games at home this year. New Haven, 2-13, 1-10 NE-10, is led by Anh-Dao Tran who is a stat-sheet stuffer. The freshman guard from Webster, Massachusetts is averaging ten points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals each time she takes the court.

The men's game will feature two of the top freshman in the conference in Justin Exum and Michael Holton, Jr. trying to lead their respective teams to a crucial win in conference play. New Haven's Exum is leading the Chargers in scoring in his first year and is one of the Northeast-10's most dangerous long range threats. The Brooklyn, N.Y. native is averaging 14 points per game, and has made 44 three-point shots so far this year, third best in the NE-10.

Holton, the first-year player from Portland, Ore., is the top scoring freshman in the conference at better than 16 points per game. His father, Michael Holton, Sr. played in the NBA for six years during the late 1980's.

Both teams will be looking to log a big league victory, which could go a long way in determining whether or not they reach the conference tournament in February.

This year's PackCast schedule features all 16 member institutions. For a complete schedule of games and times, visit www.Northeast10.org.
