As a part of the University New Haven Department of Athletics’ ongoing commitment to building community, the women’s soccer team has announced its promotional schedule for home contests during the 2012 season.
Select home contests for all New Haven teams will be designated as Charger Super Fan events. New Haven students will earn “points” for attending each designated game, with winners to be drawn at intervals during the 2012-13 academic year. Each game attended will increase the chances of winning.
Giveaway Day
Thursday, Sept. 6 – 4 p.m.
New Haven vs. Dowling
Women’s soccer opens its 2012 home schedule with the first Charger Super Fan event of the season. The first 100 fans at Kayo Field will also receive a special giveaway item.
High School Clinic
Saturday, Sept. 15 – 1 p.m.
New Haven vs. Bentley
All high-school-age girls’ soccer players are invited to attend a clinic with the Chargers’ staff following New Haven’s first home match of the Northeast-10 Conference season.

Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day
Wednesday, Sept. 26 – 4 p.m.
New Haven vs. American International
University faculty and staff are invited to the match, where they will be recognized on the field and treated to a reception at halftime.
Youth Soccer Day and USGA/ORL Super Fan BBQ
Saturday, Sept. 29 – 1 p.m.
New Haven vs. Merrimack
Local youth soccer teams will serve as ball girls during the match and will have the chance to play on Kayo Field at halftime. After the match, the Chargers will be signing autographs on a New Haven Athletics poster.
Additionally, the Undergraduate Student Government Association and Office of Residence Life will be hosting a Super Fan BBQ. Fans must have a Super Fan bracelet to attend.
White Out
Tuesday, Oct. 2- 4 p.m.
New Haven vs. Southern Connecticut State
Fans are asked to wear white and “white out” Kayo Field as the Chargers host their crosstown rival.
Cancer Awareness Day
Wednesday, Oct. 24 – 4 p.m.
New Haven vs. Saint Rose
Local cancer awareness organizations will be at Kayo Field to share information. Fans are asked to wear pink, and the Chargers will wear pink shorts for their match against the defending National Champions.
Senior Day and Super Fan Winner
Saturday, Oct. 27 – 7 p.m.
New Haven vs. Southern New Hampshire
Fans attending the afternoon Homecoming Game at DellaCamera Stadium can spend the evening at Kayo Field cheering on the Chargers. The winner of the Charger Super Fan will also be announced. New Haven women’s soccer will honors its senior class prior to the final home match of the regular season.
