BOX SCORE WORCESTER, Mass. – The University of New Haven men's soccer team played host Assumption to a scoreless stalemate for 90 minutes on Wednesday afternoon, but the Greyhounds netted the golden goal 1:18 into overtime to escape with a 1-0 decision.

The winning marker came off the foot of Lucas Spina in the 92nd minute.

The Chargers (1-14-1, 1-11-0 NE-10) got six saves from
James Pyatsky (Stewart Manor, N.Y./Garden City), who went the distance in goal. Dana King made two saves to preserve the shutout for Assumption (4-8-2, 2-8-2 NE-10).

New Haven was outshot, 22-6, by the hosts.
Sal DiTommaso (Farmington, Conn./Farmington / Central Connecticut State University) and
Matt Dillon (Toms River, N.J./Monsignor Donovan) each put an attempt on target for the Chargers.
