The University of New Haven football team (0-2, 0-1 NE-10) hosts Assumption (0-2, 0-1 NE-10) in a matchup of two Northeast-10 Conference teams looking for their first victory of the fall. The Chargers enter the game coming off of a second consecutive one-possession loss - a 38-33 defeat in their NE-10 opener at LIU Post last Saturday. Assumption most recently fell at Division I FCS Sacred Heart, 44-14, nine days after dropping their conference and season opener at home to defending NE-10 Champion American International, 27-25. New Haven and Assumption met twice last fall, with the Chargers taking the regular season meeting in Worcester by a score of 21-18 and then concluding the 2013 campaign with a 27-17 win over the Greyhounds at Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium as a part of Northeast-10 Championship Weekend.
