WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven men's soccer team honored its five seniors in a pregame ceremony as the Chargers were upended by the Bentley Falcons 1-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference match on Tuesday afternoon.
With the win, Bentley is now 8-6-1 with a 7-4-1 mark in the NE-10. New Haven is 4-11-1 and is 1-10-1 in conference play.
The lone goal of the contest came in the 73rd minute when Sean Sullivan collected a rebound and drove the ball into an open net after
Stephen Sasso (Orange, Conn./Amity Regional) made the initial save on a shot by Nick Hoffman.
Prior to the game, New Haven recognized its five seniors as Sasso,
James Pyatsky (Stewart Manor, N.Y./Garden City),
JP DiTommaso (Farmington, Conn./Farmington),
Bobby Cruz (Lake Grove, N.Y./Centereach) and
Cameron Soltis (Bristol, Conn./Bristol Central) were all honored in a pregame ceremony.
The Chargers close their 2015 season with a Northeast-10 Conference match against the Le Moyne Dolphins on Friday at 3:00 p.m. in Syracuse, N.Y.
