COLCHESTER, Vt. – The University of New Haven women's basketball team placed five players in double-figure scoring as the Chargers won their third straight contest, a 69-57 win in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup at Saint Michael's on Tuesday night.

With the win, New Haven improves to 10-9 with a 6-7 record in the NE-10. The Purple Knights fall to 7-11 and are 3-10 in conference.

Briana Bradford (Waterbury, Conn./Holy Cross) led the Blue and Gold with 20 points to go along with six rebounds and four assists.
Lauren Hebert (North Reading, Mass./North Reading) scored 15.
Allieyah Cubbage (North Plainfield, N.J./Roselle Catholic) netted a career-high 11 points.
India Dotson (Akron, Ohio/Frederick (Md.) / Monmouth University) and
Alexandria Kerr (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) each recorded a double-double as Dotson scored 11 with 10 rebounds while Kerr posted 10 and 10. It was the first time New Haven placed five players in double-figure scoring since Feb. 14, 2015.

The Chargers started off hot, leading 19-14 at the end of the first period. Bradford scored 10 points in the frame, the last of which came on a jumper with 1:01 left. That basket gave her 1,368 points, moving the Waterbury, Conn. native into 10th place on the New Haven all-time scoring list.

The hot shooting continued into the second quarter as
India Dotson (Akron, Ohio/Frederick (Md.) / Monmouth University) shouldered the load, scoring nine points in the stanza while grabbing four rebounds. The Chargers shot 50 percent in the first half on their way to a 40-28 halftime lead.

In the second half the two teams played evenly, but the New Haven lead was never challenged as the Purple Knights never climbed within 10 points.

The Chargers return to action on Saturday, Jan. 30 when they take on Saint Anselm in a Northeast-10 Conference game. Tipoff at Charger Gymnasium is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
