WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven men's soccer team hosted the Le Moyne Dolphins in a Northeast-10 Conference match for Senior Day on Friday afternoon. A pair of first half goals allowed the Dolphins to upend the Chargers 2-0.
Early on in the contest, Le Moyne registered the first goal of the match when Jack Ball served from the left side. The ball was headed by Marcello Palucci across the goalmouth before Salar Faryar redirected in into the net just more than four minutes into the contest. As the half drew to a close, Faryar struck again, redirecting a corner kick from Seth Scarano to make it 2-0.
The second half was a more evenly played battle that was contested primarily in the midfield. Seven total shots being were taken in the frame, three by the Chargers, as neither team cracked the scoreboard. Overall in the match,
Stefano Lorusso (Auckland, New Zealand/Sacred Heart College) made seven saves for New Haven.

The match concluded the 2016 season for New Haven. The Chargers finished the year 6-10-1, the most wins for the program since 2012.
