MANCHESTER, N.H. – The University of New Haven women's soccer team closed its season on Saturday afternoon on the road against Saint Anselm in a Northeast-10 Conference match. Following a close first half, the Hawks scored four times in the second frame to down the Chargers 6-1.

Saint Anselm scored the first two goals of the match in the fifth and 40th minutes to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Despite the scoreline, the Chargers and Hawks played an even half with both teams taking eight shots and New Haven holding a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks for the frame.

To open the second half, Saint Anselm scored twice in the first 16 minutes to extend its lead. In the 70th minute, the Blue and Gold got on the board when
Sarah Bosco (Berlin, Conn./Berlin) scored her team leading fourth goal of the season on a penalty kick, sending it low to the middle to beat the keeper.

New Haven ends the season 5-12-1 overall and 2-11-1 in the NE-10.
