  • New Haven quickly answered the Falcons opening touchdown when they scored three minutes later on the final drive of the first quarter. Patterson led that march down the field when he completed four of his six pass attempts with three of them for 10 yards or more. The final of those passes was the longest of the day when he found Headen in the middle and he broke free and marched in from 42 yards out.

  • The defense would strike again on the first Bentley drive in the second half when the Falcons coughed up the ball on a UNH punt with Tyler Hill (Buffalo, N.Y./St. Joseph Collegiate / Cincinnati) pouncing on the loose ball, giving the Chargers a short field inside the Bentley 20 yard line.

  • New Haven struck again in the fourth quarter when Danny Stock (North Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge / Buffalo State) drilled a 23-yard field goal straight through the middle of the uprights, capping off what was the longest drive of the season or New Haven, lasting 9:16 and totaling 16 plays.

  • The defense came through two more times following that field goal, the first of which came on the next Bentley drive when Nigel Davis (Williamsville, N.Y./Saint Joseph's Collegiate Institute) forced the third Bentley fumble, with CJ Fitzpatrick recovering the turnover.

  • Doman would provide the final defensive play of the day for the Chargers when he stepped in front of a Bentley pass with under a minute to play in the game, running back his first pick in a Blue and Gold uniform 25 yards cementing the victory.
