Women's Basketball Season Comes to a Close at Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The University of New Haven women's basketball team made a furious comeback attempt in the fourth quarter, but was upended by the Le Moyne Dolphins 55-48 in a Northeast-10 Conference game on Tuesday night.

The Dolphins jumped out to a quick 6-2 lead just 54 seconds in. Moments later, New Haven (7-19, 5-15 NE10) embarked on a 13-7 run, taking a 15-13 lead on a Quana Smith (Bronx, N.Y./Harry S. Le Moyne closed the gap and eventually took a 28-27 lead into halftime.

Undaunted the Chargers outscored the Dolphins 16-6 during the fourth, capped by a Shannon Corridon (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) three-pointer.
