PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Junior Jessica Mazliah (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) sparked a flurry of first half goals, including an 11-goal rally as the No. 10 New Haven women's lacrosse team stormed to a 17-10 win over No. 11 Pace on Tuesday night at Pace Stadium. Mazliah closed out the night with a team-high five goals, her third game of the season with five or more.
Graduate student midfielder Kendall Cietek (Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland) finished off her night with a game-best seven points on three goals and four assists while senior Nicole Belanger (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) joined in the scoring frenzy with four goals, tying her season-high. The seven points for Cietek pushes her over the half century mark on the season while she now stands eight goals shy of scoring 50 on the year.
Samantha Galler (Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield) was the only other Charger to finish with a multi-goal night as she chipped in a pair while three other players also provided offense against the Setters. Among the others who scored against Pace was senior Caitlin O'Brien (Branford, Conn./Branford) who put one goal in the net, while finishing just behind Cietek with three assists for four points total on the night.
Freshman goalkeeper Gianna Guerra (Thiells, N.Y./North Rockland) closed out her eighth victory of the season with a pair of saves as she played the entire 60 minutes between the pipes.

HIGHLIGHTS
· After surrendering two goals just nine second apart and within the first 65 seconds of the game, New Haven got on the board thanks to the first of four first half goals from senior Nicole Belanger (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) as she took advantage of a free position attempt.
· After the Setters answered that goal, New Haven began an impressive 11-goal rally that resulted in a 12-3 lead with six minutes remaining before the break. During that rally, junior Jessica Mazliah (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) scored four goals while Samantha Galler (Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield) and Belanger each contributed a pair.
· Following back-to-back goal from Mazliah that came just over a minute apart, the Chargers turned to senior Caitlin O'Brien (Branford, Conn./Branford) for her first of the day when she took a pass that came from the opposite side of the 12-meter arc from Mackenzie Reh (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue Medford) and quickly redirected it to the opposite corner of the net.
· Just over two minutes later freshman Hailey Rattigan (Hicksville, N.Y./Holy Trinity) would get on the board when she had some assistance from graduate midfielder Kendall Cietek (Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland). Cietek turned down the free position shot and instead shoveled a pass to Rattigan on the opposite side of the eight meter arc where she redirected to just inside the opposite upright.
· Pace looked to change the momentum late in the half scoring three straight, including a pair with less than a minute remaining. However, New Haven answered by scoring the final goal of the half with one second before the horn sounded. That goal came as Kendall Cietek (Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland) secured the draw control and found Belanger who fired and connected on her fourth of the day.
· The second half was a much lower scoring affair for both squads with a combined four goals over the first 20 minutes of the stanza. Pace began the second half much the same as they did in the first, this time scoring the first three goals before New Haven put its first on the board.
· Cietek broke that second half rally for the Setters with her second of the night with just over 14 minutes remaining. That goal sparked a three-goal run for New Haven as they regained a seven point advantage with Mackenzie Reh (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue Medford) adding a goal and Cietek scoring her third of the evening and her 42nd of the season.
· Mazliah rounded out the Chargers scoring on the night when she chipped in her fifth of the game before the Setters scored one final time as the last seconds ticked off the clock.
