Softball Drops Heartbreaker in NE10 First Round to Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Kristine Liptack (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) and Catherine Vaughan (Commack, N.Y./Hauppauge) each hit fourth inning home runs, but the University of New Haven softball team suffered a heartbreaking loss in the First Round of the NE10 Championship, 6-4 to the Le Moyne Dolphins on Tuesday afternoon.

The edge held through the sixth, but in the seventh, a three-run homer for Le Moyne ended the game.
