MANSFIELD, Mass. – New Haven women's tennis has clinched the sixth and final spot in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, the team's second postseason berth in the last two seasons and third since joining the NE10.
The Chargers will face off against the No. 3 seed and defending NE10 champion Stonehill in Easton, Mass. on Wednesday at 1 p.m., with the winner advancing to play Southern New Hampshre on Friday, Oct. 25.
New Haven is seeded behind a trio of teams that earned a share of the regular season title, including Adelphi, SNHU, and Stonehill who earned the first, second and third seeds, respectively.
Le Moyne earned the fourth seed and Franklin Pierce notched the fifth spot, with the Blue and Gold rounding out the six-team tournament.
The Chargers closed the regular season Sunday afternoon with a non-conference match at Post University that was halted due to inclement weather. No makeup date has been announced.
