WEST HAVEN, Conn. – On the heels of a thrilling overtime victory on Saturday, the New Haven men's soccer team will look to make it two wins in a row on Wednesday night with a road matchup at Franklin Pierce.

INSIDE THE SERIES
New Haven is 4-20-2 all-time against Franklin Pierce, but has won three of the last four matchups. The Ravens took last year's contest 3-1 at Zolad Stadium.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS (4-6-1, 2-4-1 NE10)
Francisco Guedes (Lisbon, Portugal/Maristas de Carcavelos) was the hero for the Chargers in Saturday's overtime thriller against Saint Michael's, scoring the golden goal on a breakaway in the 95th minute. JP Viruet (Seymour, Conn./Seymour) scored his third goal of the season, and Jon Calvo (Vitoria, Spain/Olabide Ikastola) registered four points with an assist and his first career goal in the win.

Junior Sean Skeens (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake Boys) scored his third goal of the season in New Haven's win over Southern Connecticut. Senior Nate Peduzzi (Old Lyme, Conn./Lyme-Old Lyme) leads the Chargers with four goals and eight points. Freshman David Peteri (Rotterdam, Netherlands/Erasmiaans Gymnasium) has a pair of goals, and Estanislao Desseno (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Saint Patrick College) and Alvaro Ezpeleta (Vigo, Spain/Colegio Amor de Dios) are tied with a team-high four assists.

As a team, New Haven is scoring 1.91 goals per game this season, while allowing 2.18 per game. New Haven has had a good amount of success off set pieces so far this season, scoring nine goals off corner and free kicks through their first 11 games.

SCOUTING THE RAVENS (8-3-1, 6-2-0 NE10)
Franklin Pierce had its four-match winning streak halted with a 2-1 loss at Bentley on Saturday. The Ravens 3-2 mark in conference play has them sitting in third place in the NE10 standings.

As a team, FPU leads the NE10 with a league-low 0.74 goals-against average, and is fourth offensively in the NE10 by scoring 2.17 goals per game.
Graduate student Stefan Lohberger is tied for second in the conference with nine goals. Junior Antonio Ferreira has four goals and two assists, while midfielder Marc Forner leads the squad with four assists.

ON DECK
The Chargers will return home on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day against Southern New Hampshire. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. following a pregame ceremony to honor the five-member senior class of 2019.
