WEST HAVEN, Conn. - New Haven will return to its home turf for Senior Day on Saturday, October 26th at 1:00 p.m. when it hosts American International at Kathy Zolad Stadium. Prior to the game, the Chargers will celebrate their seven seniors;
Tana Tufts (Hudson, N.H./Alvirne),
Maaike Rahms (Waddinxveen, Netherlands),
Megan Georges (Franklin, Mass./Franklin),
Megan Fischer (Seaford, N.Y./Island Trees),
Sorcha Ni Bhraonain (Galway, Ireland/Colaiste Cholmcille),
Peggy Kennedy (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) and
Samantha Bostdorf (Mount Joy, Pa./Elizabethtown Area).

SERIES HISTORY
Looking to take the conference win on Senior Day, New Haven will face American International for the 18th time in the history of the two programs. The Chargers look to break the momentum of a seven-season streak in favor of AIC who owns a 12-4-1 record in the all-time series. In the last home matchup against AIC, the two teams finished in a 1-1 draw.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS (4-9-1, 3-7-0 NE10)
The Chargers are coming off a two game conference win streak. Junior midfielder
Jenna Peduzzi (Old Lyme, Conn./Old Lyme) continues to lead the team in points (15) and goals (7), adding another two goals against Le Moyne. In addition to Peduzzi's goals, the Chargers offense tied their season high of five goals against the Dolphins.
Tana Tufts (Hudson, N.H./Alvirne) (1),
Samantha Roth (Hicksville, N.Y./St. Anthony's) (1) and
Mackenzie Myers (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) (1) all scored against Le Moyne with Tufts recording her first goal of the season and second of her career, on top of recording an assist. Â

Senior
Sorcha Ni Bhraonain (Galway, Ireland/Colaiste Cholmcille) leads the team in assists, collecting four as a defender, including on the game winning goal against Franklin Pierce. Additionally, she added her first career goal this season and stands third on the team with six points. Myers and Tufts are currently tied for second on the team in assists (3).

Defensively, New Haven's goalkeeper
Paige Davis (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) collected her first shutout of the year against Saint Michael's. For the season, she has tallied an NE10 best 102 saves, with a .785 save percentage. In Davis' previous outing against Le Moyne, she collected another conference win, bring her record to 4-9-1.Â

SCOUTING THE YELLOWJACKETS (6-7-1, 4-4-1, NE10)Â
AIC is coming off of a conference win against Franklin Pierce, 1-0. The Yellow Jackets' offense is a combined effort of 12 players who have all scored goals. Overall, the offense has collected 21 goals, with 15 of those goals scored by six different players. Entering the weekend, Josefine Stendahl leads the team in points (8) and goals (3).

Goalkeeper Tamra Zippin has played and started in 11 of the Yellow Jackets games. She holds a .782 save percentage, with 43 saves. Olivia Sousa has also seen time in goal, playing in five games and starting three.

When New Haven next takes the field, they will close out their regular season schedule at Kathy Zolad Stadium with a midweek match-up against Assumption next on tap. Opening kickoff against the Greyhounds is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
