he New Haven Women's soccer team continues Northeast-10 play, traveling to Vermont to face Saint Michael's on Saturday, September 28th at 1:00 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY

The all-time record between New Haven and Saint Michael's (8-3-1) falls in favor of the Chargers. Prior to a 1-1 draw last season and a Saint Michael's victory in 2017, the Chargers had won five straight against the Purple Knights. All but one of those games has come since New Haven joined the NE10 with that record standing at 8-2-1. 

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS ( 1-5-1, 0-4 NE10)
Coming into the weekend, Jenna Peduzzi (Old Lyme, Conn./Old Lyme) leads the team in points (7) and goals (3). Peduzzi recently added three points to her tally with a goal and an assist against Southern New Hampshire. In the Chargers most recent action against Saint Anselm, Megan Georges (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) recorded her first goal of the season, which came on an assist from Samantha Roth (Hicksville, N.Y./St. Anthony's), who is currently second on the team in goals (2), points (6) and assists (2).

Senior Sorcha Ni Bhraonain (Galway, Ireland/Colaiste Cholmcille) leads the teams with three assists as a defender. She also added her first collegiate goal against Bentley, bringing her to five total points. 

Defensively, New Haven's goalkeeper Paige Davis (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) has a .778 save percentage on the year. She has tallied a total of 56 saves, nine of which came against Southern New Hampshire. Davis also collected a career-high 13 saves against Stonehill. The goalkeeper remains strong in goal for New Haven. She also finished one save away from tying her career-high against Saint Anselm, recording six saves in each half against the Hawks. 

SCOUTING THE PURPLE KNIGHTS (3-3-0, 0-3-0, NE10) 
The Purple Knights are led by Kara Bassett and Greta Ricigliano who are tied with five points apiece. The junior and senior, respectively, have each recorded two goals and an assist. Saint Michael's offense has been an overall team effort, with five players tallying a single goal and three players adding a pair of goals. The offense have taken a total of 46 shots on goal, pushing 11 to the back of the net.

Junior, Liz Vallatini has seen the majority of action in goal, playing and starting in all six of the Purple Knights games. Overall, she has 30 saves on the year, with a .857 save percentage.  

UP NEXT
New Haven will return home for a midweek matchup against Pace University on Wednesday, October 2. The NE10 matchup is scheduled to start at 4:00 PM.
