WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven women's tennis will return to the court Friday, Sept. 6 as they travel to Middlebury to take on to take on Post University at 4 p.m.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS (0-1, 0-1 NE10)
The Chargers take to the Edgewood Bath and Tennis Club just 24 hours after opening the 2019-20 campaign. The Blue and Gold fell to defending Northeast-10 Conference champion Stonehill 7-0 in Easton, Mass. last night.
 
Freshman Alexa Orlando (Frederick, Md./Middletown) fought hard in her first collegiate contest going to a tie break in the first set at No. 5 singles, before falling 7-6 (9-7) before losing the second set 6-3.

SCOUTING THE Eagles (0-0, 0-0 CACC)
The Eagles will open 2019-20 season with the meeting against New Haven on Friday. Post maintains a 3-1 record all-time over the Chargers, winning the first three, before falling in their last match exactly one year ago to the day on Sept. 6, 2018. This will also be the first home match for the Eagles against New Haven.

The Eagles finished last season 12-6 (3-4 CACC) with a perfect 5-0 at home, ending the year on a three-match winning streak. Head coach Rob Howard, enters his 11th year leading the men's and women's tennis programs at Post.

ON DECK
The Chargers will play their first match of the 2019-20 season at the New Haven Tennis Courts Sunday, Sept. 8 at 12:00 pm when they host Saint Michael's College.
