OPENING TIP
For the final time this season, the New Haven women's basketball team will face a non-conference opponent in Saint Thomas Aquinas.

In the midst of perhaps their toughest stretch of the season, the Chargers will be playing on the road for the sixth time in seven games, plus are in a stretch of playing three regionally ranked teams over a span of four games.

INSIDE THE SERIES
-   New Haven is 14-5 all-time against the Spartans, with whom they last met in November 2017.

SCOUTING NEW HAVEN
-   Nearly pulling off a dramatic comeback on Saturday at No. 15 Adelphi, during which the Chargers trimmed a 21-point deficit down to two in the final minutes, New Haven enters Wednesday's matchup at 10-2 overall.

-   The team has played strong defense through the first half of the season, allowing a conference-low 52.3 points per game. The Chargers are also leading the NE10 in field goal percentage defense (.311) and are eighth in 3pt FG% defense at 30.0 percent.

-  The Chargers have seen a jump in offensive production of late, scoring at least 65 points in six straight games. Previously, the team only cracked the 60-point plateau twice through their first six games.

-   The Chargers have climbed to fourth in the conference by shooting 43.5 percent overall and are shooting 29.7 percent from the arc, which sits 11th in the NE10.

-     Senior Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) is scoring 12.7 points per game and leads the team with 7.1 rebounds per game. She scored a season-high 27 points at American International on Dec. 10. She had a season-high 14-rebound, five-block performance on Nov. 23 against Le Moyne.

-     Redshirt sophomore point guard Luzdali Ocasio (Davenport, Fla./New Hampton) is sixth in the NE10 with 4.4 assists per game. She had a career-high 10 assists at Chestnut Hill on December 11 and has registered at least six assists in three of the last five games.

SCOUTING STAC
-   Entering at 10-3 (3-0 ECC), STAC is one of three teams unbeaten in East Coast Conference play and holds the top winning percentage in the ECC.

-   STAC is 2-2 against the NE10 this season, having beaten AIC and Pace in November, before falling to Bentley and Southern Conn. State in December.

-   In the latest D2SIDA East Region Poll, the Spartans find themselves ranked fifth in the region, one spot ahead of New Haven.
