THE LEAD
There will only be one undefeated team in the NE10 following Sunday afternoon's battle of 5-0 conference teams when the Chargers put their unbeaten NE10 record on the line on Sunday afternoon against the No. 3 Assumption Greyhounds at Multi-Sport Stadium. New Haven is coming off of its biggest offensive output in program history with seven goals in a home win over Molloy to improve to 5-0 in the NE10. All of the action from Sunday's matinee at Assumption will be available live on NE10 NOW using the link to the right.

SERIES HISTORY VS ASSUMPTION
New Haven and Assumption have met five times prior to this season with two meetings each in 2018 and 2019. The Greyhounds have won all five of the previous match-ups with New Haven unable to get on the board, being outscored 19-0 in those five games.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS
Four different players scored for the Chargers against Molloy with senior transfer Sophie Schreck (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) leading the Blue and Gold with a hat trick against the Lions, while senior Reilly Bialko (Shickshinny, Pa./Northwest Area) finished the game with a goal and three assists. For the season, nine different players have found the back of the cage in 2021, led by senior Alexis Rider (Delran, N.J./Delran) who has scored four. Bialko leads the team in overall points with three goals and four assists for 10. Schreck's three goals vaulted her into third on the team in scoring with seven points total. In goal, graduate transfer Keira Integlia (Branford, Conn./Branford) has played every minute between the pipes with 40 saves to her credit on the year.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
In addition to its 5-0 record, the Greyhounds hold a 7-1 record overall on the year with their only loss in the season opener against West Chester. Since that loss, Assumption has outscored its opponents 22-7, including the last three games all in conference play, most recently a 2-1 decision over Adelphi. Eight different players have added to the Greyhounds scoring in 2021 with senior Isabel Primack leading the team with six goal. Two other players each have five goals to their credit senior Deirdre Burchill and Mia Salah. In goal, senior Kylie Gargiulo has played every minute for Assumption allowing just nine total goals on the year, while collecting 45 saves.  

INTEGLIA NAMED TO NE10 WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Following a week where she racked up 22 saves, including back-to-back eight save outings against Pace and West Chester, graduate transfer goalkeeper Keira Integlia (Branford, Conn./Branford) was named to the NE10's weekly honor roll on Monday, September 20. Integlia is the second player to earn the honor after senior Alexis Rider (Delran, N.J./Delran) picked up the distinction last week after a two-goal performance against Saint Michael's. THE 2021 SCHEDULE
The New Haven Field Hockey team kicks off its fourth season in the history of the program with seven of its first nine games at home, part of an 18-game schedule that makes up the 2021 campaign. A total of 11 of the Chargers 18 games will come on the home turf at Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium. Following the regular season, the top eight teams in the conference standings following regular season qualifying for the NE10 Championship, which opens with a quarterfinal match-up on Nov. 2 at the home sites of the four highest seeds. The semifinal and championship matches will also take place at home sites on Nov. 5 and Nov. 7, respectively.

CHARGERS NINTH IN PRESEASON POLL
Entering their fourth season as a varsity program, the New Haven field hockey team has been picked to finish 9th in the 2021 Northeast-10 Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Chargers return to the field for the first time since the 2019 campaign when they finished with five victories, all of which came in NE10 action. New Haven finished the preseason voting with 87 points, the most they have earned in the preseason poll, keeping them inside of the top-10 for the first time. Saint Anselm earned the top billing, scoring 11 of the 15 possible first place points for a total of 190 points. Assumption and Adelphi split the remaining first place tallies with Assumption earning 171 points and one first place vote to finish second and Adelphi earning 163 points including three first place votes to finish third overall. Rounding out the top-five was a pair of teams tied for fourth place with 146 points, Stonehill and Southern New Hampshire.

New Haven will remain on the road for its next game as they travel across town to take on rival Southern Connecticut State on Wednesday afternoon at Jess Dow Field. The NE10 match is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start with all of the action available live on NE10 NOW.
