BOX SCORE WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Graduate student Gaayatri Shankar (Kochi, India/TocH Public School) won her matches in both singles and doubles play as the New Haven women's tennis team fell to SNHU 5-2 Tuesday afternoon. With her victories today, Shankar moves to an overall 4-0 record this season.
DOUBLES RESULTS (ORDER OF FINISH: 1, 2, 3)
The Chargers No. 1 doubles pairing of Shankar and graduate student Ivana Andric (Griesheim, Germany) took down SNHU's pairing of Natalie Kallmunzerova and Magdalena Hubickova 6-2.
SNHU's No. 2 doubles pairing of Alexxa Etienne and Guntra Upeniece took down the Chargers paring of graduate student Lilia Rodriguez (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/Colegio Marista) and freshman Karim Carreras (Asuncion, Paraguay/Colegio Bautista de Villa Morra) 6-2
SNHU's No. 3 doubles pairing of Elizabeth Dwyer and Isabella Andrade took down the Chargers pairing of senior Nicole Mika (Staten Island, N.Y./Laurel Springs) and sophomore Alexa Orlando (Frederick, Md./Middletown) 6-4.
SNHU clinches the doubles point for the match.

At No. 1 singles, SNHU's Kallmunzerova beat New Haven's Andric in straights sets, 6-2, 6-1. Kallmunzerova improves to 2-0 in singles play this season; Andric moves to 1-1.
At No. 2 singles, SNHU's Hubickova beat New Haven's Carreras in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. Hubickova improves to 2-0 in singles play this season; Carreras moves to 1-1.
At No. 3 singles, SNHU's Etienne beat New Haven's Mika in three sets, 7-6, 5-7, 6-2. Etienne improves to 2-0 in singles play this season; Mika moves to 1-1.
At No. 4 singles, New Haven's Shankar beat SNHU's Andrade in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. Shankar improves to 2-0 in singles play this season; Andrade moves to 1-1.
At No. 5 singles, New Haven sophomore Kacie Banks (Marietta, Ga./Marietta) beat SNHU's Mina Houge in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. Banks earns her first win in singles play this season; House moves to 0-1.
At No. 6 singles, SNHU's Upeniece beat New Haven's Orlando in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5. Upeniece improves to 2-0 in singles play this season; Orlando moves to 1-1.
