THE LEAD
The women's soccer team looks to build on its double overtime victory on Sunday afternoon with the second game of their season opening tournament as they take on Georgian Court with opening kickoff scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Mackenzie Myers (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) provided the heroics in the opening game as she converted a PK in the second extra frame to give her squad the 3-2 victory.

SERIES HISTORY
New Haven holds a 6-2 record over Georgian Court. However, their last meetup the Chargers went scoreless falling 3-0 on the road. At Kathy Zolad stadium the Blue and Gold are undefeated (3-0) when facing the Lions.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS (1-0, 0-0 NE10)
The Chargers cooked up their first win in double overtime over the Post Eagles. Goals from rookies Dakota Cimetta (Coral Springs, Fla./J.P. Taravella) and Meghan Dellea (Haverhill, Mass./Haverhill) allowed the score to read 2-2 going into overtime. Mackenzie Myers (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) scored off a penalty kick in the 100th minute to secure the victory. Paige Davis (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) saw five saves in the net on 15 shots.

SCOUTING THE LIONS (0-1, 0-0 CACC)
