RINDGE, N.H. - The University of New Haven men's soccer team fell to the #2 Franklin Pierce Ravens, 4-0, at Sodexo Field on Saturday night. The Ravens jumped out to an early lead, scoring three of their goals in the first half, while New Haven was held to a season-low two shots. The loss to the Ravens was the first game of the season to not be decided by one or less goals, breaking a streak of seven straight games.
Raven's midfielder Miguel Secades Rodriguez tallied a pair of goals in the first half to help the Ravens take a 3-0 lead. The other goal, scored in the 16th minute, came from Braudilio Rodrigues, the conference leader in goals scored. Franklin Pierce scored an additional goal in the second half in part to Younes Addar, who scored his fourth goal of the season.
After attempting 40 shots in the past two games, the Chargers were held to only two shots, neither of which were on goal. The Ravens outshot the Chargers, 21-2 (13-0 on goal), while also recording more corner kicks. The only two Chargers to attempt a shot in the loss where sophomore midfielder

Themis Kastoris (Gothenburg, Sweden/Kitas Gymnasiet)Â started between the post for New Haven, allowing four goals while recording a season-high nine saves. His 33 saves on the season are currently ranked second among all goalkeepers in the conference while his .750 save percentage ranks 11th.
New Haven, now 0-5-3, will continue their search for the first win of the season when they return to Kathy Zolad Stadium for the start of an extended homestand. The Chargers will defend the turf against the visiting Saint Rose Golden Knights at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, Sept. 28
