The first quarter of the game was heavily in favor of the Setters, outshooting the Chargers 12-3. Pace opened the scoring early in the first minute of the game, finding the first goal of the game thirty seconds in. Not letting up the Setters accumulated a total of 4 goals in the first quarter. New Haven did not let down, finding the offensive circle multiple times despite the possession being held primarily by Pace. The second quarter would fall more balanced, with the Chargers taking more control of both sides of the ball. Opening scoring for the Chargers was Katherine Trammel, grabbing her eighth goal of the year and holding strong to the ninth spot in conference leaders. That goal would be the only first half goal scored for New Haven, as they held Pace to two goals before halftime.

Johannah Lee (State College, Pa./State College Area) would find the second and last goal for the blue and gold, midway through the third quarter. That goal being her first of the season, and second of her career for New Haven.

The Chargers would end the evening with a total of 13 shots, 9 forcing a save from the Setter's goalkeeper. Leading the offense for the Chargers was Kelli Jacobson (North Branford, Conn./North Branford) who would find four shots, three on goal, followed by Kat Trammel (Sandy Hook, Conn./Newtown) with three shots, and one being a goal for New Haven. All three goalies on the New Haven roster combined for a total of seven saves, including freshman Kara Lambert making a career-high five saves.
