After almost a full game was played with each team scoreless, the game almost ended with a tie. With 57 seconds left in the game, Miel Penin take a shot, which would be saved by Cerosimo, but would reflect into the box, where Penin would finish it off from his own rebound.

With seconds running down on the clock, the Chargers made their way up field looking for the equalizer, where Tyrone Malango (Mount Vernon, N.Y./) would find a header shot. Saint Michael's goalkeeper Liam Barrett would make the save, pushing the ball over the goal-line for a corner kick.
