WHAT'S ON TAP
Back-to-back home games for the second time since the calendar rolled over to 2024 await the New Haven women's basketball team as they begin that stretch looking to pull the upset over the No. 11 Bentley Falcons on Saturday afternoon, in what would also break a seven-game win streak the Falcons are currently riding.

SCOUTING NEW HAVEN
A conference leading, and top-26 in the nation, seven double doubles from graduate post player Aurora Deshaies (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) and she is one of the key leaders for the Chargers, averaging 11.9 points and an NE10 leading 10.6 rebounds. Also on a bit of a hot streak is junior guard Charlotte Bassett (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) who has scored in double figures in eight of the last 11 games, including a career-high 22 points against Georgian Court and her first double double (15 points, 10 rebounds) against Franklin Pierce. Her recent success has also moved her up the scoring column, currently third on the team with an average of 9.4 ppg. Rounding out the trio of top scorers is sophomore Lindsay Hogan (Bayville, N.Y./Locust Valley) who has helped fill the void left by the loss of two of the top three scorers from a year ago as she is averaging 10.8 points per game. The Chargers have relied on the experience of senior Gabrielle Stickle (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) to run the offense and she has not disappointed, dishing out 54 assists and is seventh in the NE10 with 3.4 per game. Included for Stickle is a pair of games with a career-high eight assists versus Goldey-Beacom and Georgian Court. As a team, New Haven is outscoring opponents by an average of 3.3 points per game, scoring 80+ in the first two games of the season, after hitting that scoring mark just once all of last season. All combined, the Chargers are shooting 39.2 percent (350-892) as a team, led by Bianca Pendleton (Accokeek, Md./New Hope Academy) who is shooting 51.1 percent from the field (24-47).

SCOUTING BENTLEY
A nationally ranked squad, Bentley enters Saturday afternoon riding a seven-game win streak as they embark on a three-game road trip. For the season, the Falcons are second in the NE10 averaging 65.4 ppg on the offensive end and are third in the league with their 52.5 ppg average allowed by opponents. In addition to outscoring their opponents by 12.5 ppg, the Falcons are also outrebounding them by 5.5 rebounds per outing. As a team, Bentley is shooting 40 percent from the field, including 36.9 percent from beyond the arc with an average of 7.8 three-point field goals per game, leading all NE10 teams with 133 long range buckets, 20 more than the next closest team. Individually, four Falcons are averaging in double figures led by Maggie Whitmore who stands eighth in the NE10 in points per game with her average of 13.1. She is also second on the team in rebounding at 6.7 rebounds per game. Following her in the scoring column is Ella Thompson (10.6 ppg), Niya Morgen (10.1 ppg) and Kylie Ducharme (10.1 ppg), with Ducharme leading the Falcons on the boards with an average of 8.2 per game.
