Wrapping up the road trip, New Haven heads to Long Island to take on the Adelphi Panthers looking break a five-game skid against the Panthers. At the same time, the Chargers are on a milestone watch as graduate post player Aurora Deshaies (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) is rapidly approaching the 1,000-rebound plateau, entering Wednesday night searching for 38 rebounds to become just the fourth player at UNH to pull down 1,000+ rebounds.

SCOUTING NEW HAVEN
A conference leading, and top-20 in the nation, nine double doubles from graduate post player Aurora Deshaies (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) and she is one of the key leaders for the Chargers, averaging 12.0 points and an NE10 leading 10.6 rebounds. Also on a bit of a hot streak is junior guard Charlotte Bassett (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) who has scored in double figures in 10 of the last 14 games, including a career-high 22 points against Georgian Court and her first double double (15 points, 10 rebounds) against Franklin Pierce. Her recent success has also moved her up the scoring column, currently third on the team with an average of 9.6 ppg. Rounding out the trio of top scorers is sophomore Lindsay Hogan (Bayville, N.Y./Locust Valley) who has helped fill the void left by the loss of two of the top three scorers from a year ago as she is averaging 10.3 points per game. The Chargers have relied on the experience of senior Gabrielle Stickle (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) to run the offense and she has not disappointed, dishing out 60 assists and is 9th in the NE10 with 3.2 per game. Included for Stickle is a pair of games with a career-high eight assists versus Goldey-Beacom and Georgian Court. As a team, New Haven is outscoring opponents by an average of 0.4 points per game, scoring 80+ in the first two games of the season, after hitting that scoring mark just once all of last season. All combined, the Chargers are shooting 38.6 percent (412-1,068) as a team, led by Aurora Deshaies (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) who is shooting 47.5 percent from the field (97-204).

SCOUTING ADELPHI
Searching for their first win since December 18, the Panthers have lost their last 11 games and are currently tied with the Chargers at 2-13 in the Northeast-10 Conference standings with seven games remaining in the regular season. For the year, the Panthers are averaging 56.2 points per game and allowing their opponents to score almost six points per game more at 62.0 ppg. Individually, Jenna Jordan leads Adelphi in the scoring column, shooting 45.2 percent (113-250) in the post position. In addition to leading the team with her 14.3 ppg average, she also leads the team in rebounding at 8.0 rebounds per game while she is also efficient in getting to the line, leading the team with 107 free throw attempts, more than double any other player on the team.
