NORTH EASTON, Mass. – New Haven Field Hockey visited the Stonehill College Skyhawks on Friday afternoon, where it dropped a 5-1 match. Emma Beaujuoan scored the lone goal for the Blue & Gold in the match.
A scoreless first quarter gave way to a Stonehill 2-0 lead in the first five minutes of the second quarter. Beaujuoan's marker cut the Skyhawk lead in half at 2-1. Her goal was set up by
Carina Ramirez (Massapequa Park. N.Y./Massapequa) and
Erin Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South).
Stonehill added a pair in the third quarter and one more in the final frame to result in the 5-1 final.
Rae Kline (Brookline, N.H./Hollis Brookline) denied seven of 12 shots on target from the Skyhawks.
New Haven's next match is on Sunday, Oct. 19, at Hofstra University. Game time is slated for 12:00 p.m.
