WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Men's Soccer hosted NEC foe Le Moyne College on Thursday night at Kathy Zolad Stadium. The Blue & Gold played to a draw with Le Moyne, 3-3.
Le Moyne opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the match, giving itself a 1-0 lead. The rest of the first half was scoreless.
New Haven came out of the break on fire, as
Lukian Lawro (Albertson, N.Y./Mineola) and
Andrew Buchanan (Dunfermline/Nord Østerdal VGS) found the back of the net in the first ten minutes of the second half.
Andres Lazo (Montville, N.J./Montville) collected assists on both goals.
A Le Moyne goal tied the match in the 72nd minute. New Haven's Joao Pires would put the Blue & Gold ahead with just about five minutes remaining off a free kick from
Donghyeon You (Seoul, South Korea/Youngseok).
The Dolphins capitalized on a break and scored with 81 seconds remaining in the match to draw with New Haven, 3-3.
Alessandro Bizzini (Imola Bologna, Italy/Liceo Scientifico Valeriani) finished with seven saves in the match while playing all 90 minutes.
New Haven visits LIU on Thursday, Oct. 30, for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
