BOX SCORE WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Women's soccer hosted the Chicago State Cougars on Thursday night for a NEC match, where it lost 3-0.
The Cougars put two goals on the board in the first half, and the Chargers looked to respond with eight shots in the half but were unable to convert. In the second half, the Chargers held off the Cougars until the 82
nd minute, but they were able to score, making it 3-0. New Haven had a total of 11 shots.
Janayah Body (West Hartford, Conn./Lawrence Academy) and
Emma Mitchell (Edinburgh, Scotland/Liberton) both had two shots on goal and
Molly Heras (Pt. Pleasant, NJ/) had one.
Caitlin Daley (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) was in net for all 90 minutes, collecting 11 saves for the Chargers.
The Chargers continue their home streak on Sunday Oct. 26
th, with a NEC match against the Le Moyne Dolphins. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
