NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – New Haven Field Hockey visited Merrimack, where it took a 2-1 loss in NEC play.
Emma Beaujouan (Concord, N.H./Concord) scored the Chargers' only goal in the loss.
Merrimack scored just over eight minutes into the game, putting itself ahead 1-0. Beaujuoan's tally came early in the second quarter, and the score stayed tied at 1-1 until :39 remaining in the game, when Merrimack broke the tie with the game-winning goal from Delaney Weiler.
Anne Marie Martin (Louisville, Ky.) made seven saves on shots for the Blue & Gold in net.
New Haven totaled a season-high five shots on goal in the match.
Next up for New Haven is a road match on Sunday, Oct. 5, as it visits Fairfield University. The match is slated to begin at 12:00 p.m.
