WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Women's Soccer played its last home match on Thursday night, where it fell short to the Wagner College Seahawks 8-0.
The Seahawks came out hot, scoring seven of their eight goals in the first half of the rainy match. New Haven took five shots in the first half but were unable to convert. In the second half, Wagner scored their eighth goal in the 78
th minute. New Haven was able to take more offensive control, and take eight shots, but still were not able to put any goals on the board.
Grace Simpson (Norwalk, Conn./Brien McMahon) had three shots on goal,
Caroline Ennis (Hamden, Conn./Hamden) had two, and
Emma Mitchell (Edinburgh, Scotland/Liberton) had one.
Caitlin Daley (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) had nine saves on the night, and
Jordan Galica (Vernon, Conn./Rockville) had one save.
The Chargers are heading to Pennsylvania to finish up the 2025 season on Sunday, Nov. 2
nd, for an NEC match against Mercyhurst University. Opening kickoff is scheduled for noon.
