Debbie Buff Earns 300th Career Win as Chargers Roll Past Panthers

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Women's Basketball notched its first win of the 2025-26 season on Wednesday night, a 99-53 drumming of Purchase College. The win was Head Coach Debbie Buff's 300th career victory.

Teaira Kelley (Monroe, Ga./Walnut Grove) and Lindsay Hogan (Bayville, N.Y./Locust Valley) led the scoring charge, each with 16 points. Kelley had a perfect night, making all eight shots she took. New Haven's 54.3% (38-70) clip from the field is a new season high.

22 offensive rebounds, including five from Addisen Sulikowski (Saco, ME/Thornton Academy), helped the Chargers score 23 second-chance points. Those rebounds also contributed to 66 points in the paint, where the Chargers had their way with the Panthers.

On the defensive end, the Chargers came away with 20 steals. Hogan, Aniya McDonald-Perry (Middletown, Conn./Putnam Science Academy), and Schuyler Coles (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) all had four. Kelley had a pair. Sulikowski, Katie Drozd (Hastings on Hudson, N.Y./Hastings), Katelyn Simpson (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin), Shannon McCarthy (Woburn, Mass./Woburn Memorial), Mikayla Taylor (Burlington, N.J.), and Jasmine McKay (West Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) all finished with one.
