CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – New Haven Men's Basketball traveled to Beantown on Saturday, where it visited the Boston College Eagles. BC topped New Haven in come-from-behind fashion 67-63.
New Haven opened up a double-digit lead by halftime, 33-23. Boston College finished the game with a 44-30 advantage in the second half, picking up the win.
Jabri Fitzpatrick's (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) 16 points led New Haven, as the junior made eight of his 10 attempts at the line.
Stefano Faloppa (Portogruaro, Italy/Holy Cross Prep) finished one rebound shy of a double double, posting 10 points and nine boards.
Maison Adeleye (Arlington, Tx./Juan Seguin) was a menace defensively, coming away with three steals on top of his eight points.
Of its 24 trips to the charity stripe, New Haven sank 20, going 83.3%. At the other end, the Eagles hit on 17 of 23 attempts, converting at a 73.9% clip.
The Blue & Gold outplayed BC for a majority of the game, finishing with more points off turnovers (13-10), second-chance points (6-5), and points in the paint (24-12).
New Haven returns to the court on Wednesday, December 10, as it visits New Jersey Institute of Technology. Tipoff from Newark is set for 7:00 p.m.
