West Haven, Conn. - Five different goal scorers find the back of the net. As the University of New Haven women's lacrosse team falls short in the home opener to Mercy 11-10. Chargers fall to 1-1 on the season.
 
Graduate student Katie Schenk (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) leads the way in goals. As Schenk finished with a game high four goals. Schenk added an assist to her total as she finished the game with five points. The other players who joined Schenk in the scoring column were Gianna Caprioli (Clinton Corners, N.Y./Franklin Delano Roosevelt) with two, Caitlin Seleny (Derry, N.H./Pinkerton) with one, Lindsey Belmonte (Yaphank, N.Y./Bellport) with one, and Sophia Minnion (Wading River, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) with two.
