Ethan Simmon (Edison, N.J./St. Joseph Metuchen) night as after a quick layup by
Jah'Likai King (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy), Simmon went on to score the next eight points for the Chargers. Simmon scored a career-high 30 points he also had a career-high in 3-pointers made which was eight, he ended the night shooting 8- for-14 from behind the arc. He also added shooting 11-for-20 from the field and to add to that he also added 5 rebounds.
The other two that filled the scoring sheet up were
Jah'Likai King (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy) and
Najimi George (Bridgeport, Conn./Kolbe Cathedral) as they both combined from downtown was 5-for-9. King finished the game as the second leading scorer with 21 and George as the third leading scorer with 17.
The Chargers played a complete game from beginning to end with a lead of 39:11 coming to being 98 percent of the game. They won the rebound battle both on the offense and defensive side of the ball. They almost doubled Saint Anselm in assist. The Chargers outscored the Hawks in the paint 32 to 28. Lastly, the Chargers scored 13 points off turnovers.
Up next for the Chargers is Saturday when they welcome the Yellowjackets of American International College for their annual Fight for Literacy game on February 8 at 3:30 pm at Deborah Chin Court. They follow that up with a road trip to Pace University on February 11 at 7:30 pm.
