TEANECK, N.J. – New Haven Women's Basketball suffered a 65-57 loss at FDU on Saturday afternoon.
New Haven shot 56.3% (9-16) from deep and 46.5% (20-43) overall in the loss.
Addisen Sulikowski (Saco, ME/Thornton Academy) led the way with 13 points, followed by Londsay Hogan, who poured in a dozen, all from outside, and
Aniya McDonald-Perry's (Middletown, Conn./Putnam Science Academy) 11. Hogan and Rennelle Grannum each had four assists. Grannum's six boards paced the Blue & Gold. McDonald-Perry finished with three steals, marking the 11th time this season she has finished with three or more steals in a game.
Merit Innocent (Delta State, Nigeria/Busche Academy) played 13 quality minutes off the bench, scoring all of New Haven's six bench points against the preseason conference favorite.
The Chargers defended well, holding the Knights to 40.7% (24-59) from the field, and 30.3% (10-33) from beyond the arc. FDU had an edge in inside scoring, getting 22 points in the paint, and got 11 points off New Haven turnovers.
"We played a great game against the top team in the conference. We followed the scout and countered their runs. Very proud of the entire team. We need to build on this for future games,"

New Haven is home on Thursday, Jan. 15 against the Chicago State Cougars. Opening tipoff will arrive at 6:00 p.m.
