WEST HAVEN, Conn. – New Haven Women's Basketball Head Coach
Debbie Buff has announced her program's 2026-27 schedule. The Blue & Gold will face a challenging non-conference slate before opening NEC play in January.
New Haven's 2026-27 schedule features 14 non-conference contests, including road matchups against Tennessee, Iona, Rhode Island, UMass Lowell, Boston University, St. John's and Yale. The Chargers will also host Siena, Sacred Heart, Dartmouth, Northeastern, and New Hampshire in West Haven during the non-conference portion of the schedule.
Home at The Hazell Center
The Blue & Gold will play seven non-conference games at home, opening the season on Monday, Nov. 2
Following the opener, New Haven will host Siena on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m., Sacred Heart on Nov. 24 and Dartmouth on Monday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. December home games include Northeastern on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m., New Hampshire on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m.
Challenging Road Slate
New Haven will take on a demanding road schedule, beginning with a trip to Tennessee on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The Chargers will then visit Iona on Nov. 18, Rhode Island on Nov. 20 and UMass Lowell on Nov. 28.
December road contests include Boston University on Dec. 9, St. John's on Dec. 22 and Yale on Dec. 30, which closes out the non-conference schedule.
NEC Slate
New Haven will begin NEC play in the new year, with 16 conference contests scheduled across January, February and March.
The Blue & Gold will open league play on the road, visiting LIU on Saturday, Jan. 2 and Wagner on Wednesday, Jan. 6. The Chargers will then return home for a pair of games at The Hazell Center, hosting Central Connecticut State on Thursday, Jan. 14 at 6 p.m. and Chicago State on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m.
New Haven will travel to FDU on Jan. 20 and Mercyhurst on Jan. 23 before hosting Stonehill on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. The Chargers will close out January with a trip to Central Connecticut State on Jan. 30.
The second half of the conference schedule begins with a road game at Le Moyne on Thursday, Feb. 4. New Haven then returns home to host Wagner on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m., FDU on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m., Le Moyne on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. and Mercyhurst on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. The Chargers will also travel to Chicago State on Feb. 13 and Stonehill on Feb. 24.
The regular season will conclude Thursday, March 4, when New Haven hosts LIU at 6 p.m.
NEC Tournament
New Haven is eligible to play in the NEC Tournament this season. The tournament is scheduled to begin Monday, March 8, with additional tournament dates slated for Thursday, March 11 and Sunday, March 14.
